The world was quite Tuesday when everyone said their final goodbyes to The King of Pop, Michael Jackson. As 20,000 fans rolled in at the Staple Center in Los Angeles to give their thanks and prayers. Singers such as Lionel Ritchie, Stevie Wonder and a few others sang on stage to some of Michael's songs. People in the audience once the song was done yelled out how much they missed the King of Pop. The news even broadcasted from different parts of the world and the US which was really cool. The family gathered on stage to sing "We are the world". That was very emotional to handle. At the end of the ceremony, the family came on stage and said a few words and thanked everyone who showed up and thanked the fans. As for me, I played my forty-five record of thriller on my fisher price record player I had when I was a kid in memory of him.

The last couple of weeks it's been quite hot here in North Carolina and I normally get sinus infections in the spring or fall months. But I got one in the summer. My asthma has been quite a pain. There are days when I feel fine and days that the humidity is so bad that its kind of hard for me to breathe. I have what you call bronchial asthma. My sinuses have been a bit rough that I feel that everytime I blow my nose it feels like its going to fall off. (no offense Michael) Right now I've been taking every allergy pill known to man. But I am feeling alot better now. I guess its just a seasonal thing. Other then that The RBC Center is right around the corner and we will be starting off a new hockey season. I can't wait. The Durham Bulls ballpark has really helped me out this summer plus I enjoyed the people working out there and most of the fans too. This weekend, Seattle emailed me a letter telling me that they needed help at Raleigh's Downtown live show. Joan Jett is coming and is going to draw in a big crowd. So G-Gordon Liddy and I decided to make some extra money on the side. Plus it looks like easy work. I believe that G-Gordon Liddy will be applying for the security job that Seattle does and as for me I will be a greeter at the door and making sure no one brings in suspicious items as liquor or pot. Plus I get to stamp people who will be drinking if they are over twenty-one. Plus it would be nice to work with someone I already know at the RBC Center. Next week, Seattle and I are off to Asheville, North Carolina for three days. Since I've never been it would be cool to see some mountains and to explore new things and different towns. Plus its going to be nice to get away from the city and Ziggy for a while. It's been rough these past few years having a decent night's sleep and then Zigs waking you up in the middle of the night. So, I am going to be staying busy these next few weeks. Who knows what will happen next.

I had a productive weekend. Saturday somedayseattle had to work Raleigh Downtown. For those who don't know, it's a concert that is an all day event that begins at 1:30pm and has a bunch of bands that play music till 11:00pm. Plus its FREE! All you got to worry about is buying food and beer for yourself. So, downtown played The Tubes and Cracker. Since Seattle is a big fan of Cracker I decided to go with him and listen. I ended up inviting one of my friends from high school that I haven't seen in ten years. We hung out and discussed how school used to be, where everyone is now and what we are doing now. Sunday, I spent the day with Drama Queen and John Deere. Since Seattle had a disc golf tournament there was no reason for me to hang out at the apartment all day. Drama Queen picked me up and we headed out to do a few errands. We then headed back to her house where Rusty (her Boston Terrier) was happy that we were home. She showed me everything they have done to prepare for their wedding next month. We even went through some old photos and laughed at ourselves when we were just kids. By the end of the day, she drove me back home and Seattle and I discussed how our day went. Not to mention that tv show host Billy Mays died on Sunday. This has been one miserable month for celebrity deaths.

You often see celebrity deaths come in threes but on various months. But this month in June it came all in one week. First Ed McMahon, then Farrah Fawcett, and now the king of pop Michael Jackson. All I can say is wow. Today on VH1 Classics and MTV they are playing old music videos and movies that Michael Jackson were in. I remember when I was a child I had the silver shiny socks and a small pin of Michael Jackson I wore on my jean jacket. I still to this day have the 45 record of thriller I am never going to get rid of. All these memories and it still is shocking. What are your memories you have of Michael Jackson?

The first time I started working out at The Durham Bulls ballpark in Durham, North Carolina I thought it was going to be a piece of cake. All you do is hand out ice cream to all the fans and sometimes if your lucky have one of those ice cream carts set up at the first or third base line and watch a baseball game for free. As I car pool with my father G-Gordon Liddy sometimes I turn to him and say "These home games are sometimes a big stretch." He told me I was right. Sometimes working out there for one or two weeks straight before the team goes on a road trip can be a bit tiring. So this whole week I've been working and enjoying the time with my co-workers cracking jokes and watching people. I noticed that it's the middle of June and already its getting hotter outside. So much for those lazy days of summer. Now its those lazy "hazy" days of summer in North Carolina which everyone can't tolerate. Hopefully I can fight it now till August and then when September rolls around we'll finally be getting cooler weather again. Yesterday, I was giving one of my co-workers a break outside and I wasn't paying attention and someone yelled out foul ball and I looked up and it bounced out in one of the seats and landed near me up some one already grabbed it. I thought to myself crap I should have been outside tonight. Oh well, there's always next time. Anyways, nothing else has been going on with me. Seattle and I and a couple of people celebrated Blindmansblog birthday on Wednesday. Good times with friends and drinks and a good meal. It was nice. I also found out that my friends in New York that I went to middle school with are planning to have a ten year high school reunion. Since I left New York when I was thirteen it would be nice to see everyone again and see how their life has been since. But I already cheated and went on facebook and looked up half of my friends and found out. But as for now, I have to work the RBC Center tonight. It seems an Australia country singer named Keith Urban is playing and along side is a band called Sugarland. It's going to be fun people watching and best of all it's on a Friday night so maybe I'll be able to get some tips outta the drunks. (ha-ha). Maybe if I persuade them with my yankee southern accent they'll slip a few dollars on me. I guess we'll just see.

Anyways, it all started by ten o'clock and we headed on down to The RBC Center. There I purchased some wrestling tickets. WWE RAW was coming back to the RBC Center so I decided to see them again for the summer. Hey, I might be a redneck but I am a happy one. I got some good seats also. After getting our tickets we headed out to a small place out in Chapel Hill, North Carolina called Carboro. There we walked around their farmers market and went to a few thrift stores. I don't want to make blue_aardvark jelaous but I ended up getting a cool 1970's casserole dish for three dollars. Seattle also got a cool 70's serving dish and a cool Mike Piazza Bobble head doll. After finding some cool finds, we end up eating at a place called Time-out. Next we stroll on down back to the Farmer's Market and the first Saturday of the month here in Carboro they have what is called a "free market". People bring their stuff in boxes whether it's clothes or stuff they don't need. The people there go through it and take what ever they can get their hands on. But you got to be quick before its gone. I ended up with a bunch of cool ass clothes. I got some spring jackets, a dress, some pants, a few skirts I can wear during the summer. A cool boom box that I have to clean up but looks in really good shape. All it needs is a new antena. All the clothes I got for free probably ended up being almost 200 dollars worth. Name brands from Target and The Gap. I didn't want to loose out on. Seattle got a cool old camera and a few books. Since the market was from 2:30 to 4pm most of what I got I was really happy with. We then ended up going back home and I tried on my awesome free stuff. I ended up saving it all cause it all fit. On Sunday, Seattle and I went out and picked up a 1970's wind up clock on Craigslist for ten bucks. Since we are trying to rearrange the apartment a little I thought with going with a 70's style vibe. It's going to take some time but once we got a plan to get some furniture in here it'll be better. Seattle and I had to drop off some clothes off at this place called The Bargin Box in his neighbor hood so he found this cool pull over sweat shirt that is a cool soft blue that had the words Piggly Wiggly on it. I came home and tried it on and it fits. I was so happy and he was so jelaous. I also found a cool tye-dyed dress that also fit. So this whole weekend I got a whole new seasonal outfit for nothing. I could not wipe the grin off my face with all the cool stuff I found. Hooray for me!

Things with me have been pretty slow going lately. The RBC Center is coming to a season end and The Durham Bulls ball park is going to get alot busier since the summer is near. Last week The Carolina Hurricanes got swept by The Pittsburgh Penguins 4-0 in the series. But as for the team coming in third place, I think everyone is happy. As for me, I will miss all the fans and the loudness inside the arena. But there's always next year. I've been taking it easy again enjoying every weekend I have with somedayseattle. We normally try and stay cool since spring is almost over and summer is right around the corner. Every other night when the sun goes down we usually spend a night on the porch talking about life or watching people come out of The K&W Cafeteria and walk out with a doggie bag to their cars. The cool breeze outside makes it all worth it. Drama Queen and John Deere are preparing for their wedding coming up in July so I haven't had time to hang out with Drama Queen for quite some time just to catch up on life. Mother Mary has been quite busy her self preparing some of the food for the wedding and working her job. She told me once she catered to the Princess of Thailand. She works for a group of people at this place called Quintiles. They do alot of preping and catering events. She enjoys it and works Monday through Friday and has the weekends off. I've been trying my best again to stay in touch with her. G-Gordon Liddy has been busy working at his first job at the grocery store and then working out at The Durham Bulls Park with me. It seems the man never gets a break. This week he went down to Florida to visit a friend of his for a few days. Hopefully when he gets back he'll be well rested. As for me, I get back to the grind on Monday. It's amazing now how the weekends and now the months seem to fly by alot faster.

Time to bring out the brooms, it's sweeping time. The Carolina Hurricanes are down three games against the Pittsburgh Penguins in the Stanley Cup Play-offs. Can the Canes come back and win just one game? Who knows. The Penguins just need one more win to become the Eastern Conference Champions. Ah, smell the tension.

So I've been running back and forth between my two favorite part time jobs. I feel like I never get a break in between. I finally ended up going to a baseball game with Seattle and his mom and aunt last week. It was nice to see a baseball game and not work. It was a perfect night and the people watching was good. I have never seen this happen on baseball or in the twenty nine years I've been alive. One of the players on the Durham Bulls hit two grand slams. I couldn't believe my eyes. It was the greatest thing to see besides the fire works at the end of the night. On the other hand, things have been going quite well at the ball park. I got a chance to work outside and see some of the game. Plus the people I work with are really nice. As for The RBC Center, things have been quite loud inside that when you have a customer place an order you can't even hear your self. We were voted number four for the loudest arena in the United States. Detroit was number one. But when the play-offs are in town you better beware cause the fans are out of control. It makes me happy to know that even with the ecomony the way it is, people can still go out and support their local teams. As for me now, sometimes taking a few days off from both places is so relaxing. It's nice to actually come home to Seattle and cook dinner then sit on the front porch and watch the world go by. I don't have any plans for Memorial Day so enjoying the weather is one of them. Summer is right around the corner also, so I better get prepared for all the icecream I can sell. As for now, I'm just chillin.
